The Concerto for Violin, Strings, and Basso Continuo in A minor, Op. 3 No. 6 RV 356 by Antonio Vivaldi is an outstanding work of Baroque music, part of his famous collection "Lestro armonico." This collection has significantly contributed to Vivaldi's fame and showcases his extraordinary compositional skills. The present edition has been arranged by Paul Klengel for violin and piano, offering a reduced yet impressive interpretation of the original. The solo violin part is included in a separate insert, allowing for flexible performance. Vivaldi's innovative style, which encompasses both lyrical melodies and virtuosic passages, is particularly evident in this concerto. The unconventional accompaniment, which omits bass and harpsichord in the Largo and uses only the high strings, gives the work a unique timbre and depth of expression.
