Dr. Decker, ostensibly a respected psychiatrist, is in reality a serial killer who commits his barbaric acts hidden behind a mask. When his patient Boone sees the atrocities in dreams, Decker sets a trap to pin the murders on him. However, in his dreams, Boone also glimpses another place, Midian, an underground city of outcasts and monsters that he desperately seeks. It is only when he is shot by the police at Decker's instigation that he finally finds the destination of his dreams and realizes the fate that is destined for him.
