The Reformation presents itself in the form of many churches, on Reformation Day, as a media event, or as the best-selling Playmobil figure. However, we also remember the Reformation when searching for the roots of modern thinking: the freedom of conscience, democratic society, education for all, and the shared German standard language inspired by the Luther Bible. The ReliBausteine Reformation makes the events comprehensible against the backdrop of the questions of that time, illuminating the contemporary historical context, the path of Martin Luther, and the role of other reformers, as well as the darker sides and diversity of the Reformation movement. In doing so, a bridge is built between the life world of people then and the life questions of today. Finally, it seeks to identify Protestant characteristics and clarify what they mean.
