Since the 1990s, architecture in South Tyrol has experienced a significant upswing. Following the success of the two previous volumes covering the years 2000 to 2012, the third volume on new architecture in South Tyrol is now being released, covering the years 2012 to 2018. The book presents around 40 buildings selected by an international jury from all parts of South Tyrol. With photographs, plans, and texts, it showcases the range of regional construction tasks and documents the development of the South Tyrolean architectural scene in recent years. Thus, it provides a comprehensive overview of the current architectural developments in South Tyrol while also allowing for international comparison. At the same time, the book accompanies the eponymous exhibition by Kunst Meran, which confidently highlights the qualities of various South Tyrolean buildings.
