The author describes in this book bulimic eating disorders as painful experiences, yet for the affected young women, they are still helpful and, from their perspective, meaningful coping strategies in pronounced conflict situations. She assumes that these women already possess all the skills and resources to shape their lives without eating disorders, but for certain often understandable reasons, they are not yet utilizing these options at this time. The book is aimed at both therapists and affected women.
