If we could look into the souls and hearts of our children, we would realize how little we often remain truly connected with them during their upbringing. This is the crucial question for the effectiveness of education: Am I (still) in contact with my child or my student? Education without a relationship is like swimming without water; you cannot educate children with whom you do not have a genuine relationship. Effective educational measures are therefore always fundamentally aimed at shaping the relationship. It matters how adults position themselves in relation to children. There is no partnership-based education, and our children are not our friends; they are something different and more: They need our adult voice, but also affection and guidance in a positive sense, meaning, creating perspectives.
