For penguins, everything at the North Pole is still very new and unfamiliar. To truly belong, she would love to become a real polar bear. And such a thing can only be learned at polar bear school! Papa Polar Bear wants to teach the new family member, the penguin girl Pinguine, how to be a polar bear. When that doesn’t go quite as planned, he begins to doubt his abilities. But then - who would have thought it - he is appointed as a teacher at polar bear school! Upon arrival, however, it turns out to be a mistake, and he has to sit in class with Pelle and Pinguine. He proudly observes what exemplary students his two children are. When the class is threatened by a huge orca, the moment finally arrives for Papa Polar Bear: he saves everyone and is appointed an honorary teacher.
