Spirou and Fantasio are planning an expedition to the mysterious Tubut-Chan in the Himalayas, which has been isolated from the outside world for a long time. They are searching for two scientists who disappeared without a trace during an expedition decades ago. Accompanying them is a group of patients sponsored by Dr. Placebo: on this dangerous journey, the unfortunate souls are finally supposed to be freed from their chronic hiccups.
