Since their dramatic crossing into Car-Toon, Spirou and Fantasio have been separated. While Spirou finds refuge with a group of rebels who have sworn to overthrow the tyrant Kodo, Fantasio is mistakenly believed to be the Inspector General of the Asian drug mafia due to a series of unfortunate circumstances. During his state visit, his car is set to be blown up by the rebels. Like all volumes of the new "Spirou and Fantasio" edition, "Nothing but Beans" is also released with enhanced features: better paper and print quality, editorial supplementary pages with background information about the album, and rare illustrations.
