Product details

"Cities for people, not cars" is the credo of Danish urban planner Jan Gehl. Various car-sharing concepts with electric vehicles can make a significant contribution to achieving this goal while also providing a solution to the challenges of climate change. However, there must be a high level of acceptance from the population, without which these goals cannot be reached. But which of the car-sharing concepts—car2go, Autolib, ZebraMobil, and Flinkster—do urban residents really want, and which is best suited for the introduction of electric vehicles? How much are people willing to pay extra to cover the higher costs of electric cars? These questions will be analyzed and answered through a survey of over 500 city dwellers and commuters in this book. Additionally, recommendations for action for the implementation in the major city of Oldenburg will be provided.
