At the end of the 19th century, when the rural community of Stolpe was merged with the villa colonies "Alsen" and "Wannsee" to form the municipality of Wannsee, a suburb emerged in the south of Berlin that offers everything Berliners need to feel comfortable: water, forest, and villas. The incorporation into the Zehlendorf district in 1920 did not diminish its good reputation; on the contrary, those who are someone in Berlin are happy to settle in Wannsee.
