The demand for scientific know-how and scientifically based procedures within the police has increased. Researchers from both inside and outside the police, as well as from various disciplines, therefore meet regularly. The thematic focus of this conference proceedings is "Concept and Evaluation of Police Work," with a particular emphasis on survey and evaluation studies conducted in the police forces of different countries. Due to its broad content, the volume is of interest to both social scientists and police practitioners.
