The discussion focuses on the factors that promote violence in the socialization process of young people and the rising numbers of youth violent crimes in Germany. The book presents existing intervention methods in social work and particularly reflects on the classical anti-aggression training for juvenile offenders. As an alternative, it introduces the gender-sensitive competency training FairKörpern, which demonstrates how confrontational pedagogy can be combined with elements of theater education, vocational training, and solution-oriented counseling.
