Product details
Chaikovskogo 63/9 is a collection of short stories from Paolo Bianco's 'St. Petersburg Time'. It tells the stories of people he met over the course of 15 years and experiences that fascinated him. Although the stories are guided by personal feelings, they reflect the state of the country and the mindset of its people during a time of almost total change. They reveal the curiosity of Russians about what was to come and the greed of foreigners for the profits that could be made from the situation. The hope of the population that everything in the country would change in a very short time was naive, but without this naivety, combined with boundless self-confidence, positive developments would not have occurred. Against this backdrop, mixed with traditional Russian humor, stories have emerged that attempt to explain the Russian soul.
