The hidden treasure
German, 2006Product details
This volume brings together three fundamental texts that provide an introduction to the universal perspective and deep understanding of the Andalusian mystic Muhyiddin Ibn Arabi (1165-1240), whose titles such as "Greatest Master," "Pole of Knowledge," or "Doctor Maximus" testify to his extraordinary and still widespread recognition in both East and West. Like no other Sufi before or after him, Ibn Arabi taught with great clarity of vision the absolute unity of all existence and the ways of its self-revelation. His mystical philosophy of the unity of being also explains the famous hadith of the Prophet Mohammed, in which God is said to have declared: "I was a hidden treasure and longed to be known; therefore, I created the world so that I could be known." This carefully edited collection includes the treatise "The Innermost Core," the "Lubbu.".
