Seven-year-old Florian comes home one day all excited because he discovered while showering with his classmates after swimming lessons that his classmate Benny is circumcised and that the boy feels ashamed about it. Florian's father seizes this opportunity for a man-to-man talk with his son, which takes place during their evening bath. They discuss the foreskin, phimosis, and circumcision, as well as male anatomy and sexual education in general. The father manages to answer Florian's questions sensitively, sometimes humorously, and always in an easily understandable way. By the end of the conversation, Florian, who lovingly calls his penis "Charlie," has developed a clear stance on circumcision: he categorically rejects the procedure for himself. However, he maintains his friendship with Benny and the also circumcised Muslim boy Mehmet.
