In the book "Chefsachen," the dog Rico, the true boss of the Koblenz animal shelter, tells his story. Rico is a giant Schnauzer-Rottweiler mix who was considered a "heavy boy" and was therefore not adoptable. He has spent practically his entire life in the shelter. This sounds like a very sad fate. Nevertheless, this dog was not only loved by his "she" (the shelter director) but also truly understood. In diary form, Rico humorously yet deeply movingly describes his daily life in the shelter.
