The need for thorough chemical education for medical professionals is becoming increasingly evident year by year. The significant successes in the fields of vitamins and hormones, the clarification of the composition of hemoglobin, and many similar discoveries in recent years highlight the importance of chemistry for the biological sciences and, consequently, for medicine.
