Austrian painter Christian Ludwig Attersee has dedicated himself to the art of mosaics to immortalize his visual creations in glass. His signature—brushstrokes, shading, and color gradients—finds artistic freedom in public spaces through the enlargement and luminosity of the smalt, giving applied art a new face. The publication, designed by Attersee's longtime friend and photographer Kurt-Michael Westermann, showcases the versatility of Attersee's mosaics as well as the history of this art form and its production techniques.
