Product details

The designer and interior architect Dieter Waeckerlin (1930-2013) shaped Swiss living culture from 1950 to 1980 with his Basel company Idealheim. He was one of the most successful Swiss furniture designers of his time on an international level, and his designs are now sought-after collector's items. Waeckerlin is particularly famous for his SAFFA lamp and the B20 teak sideboard from the 1950s. These designer pieces continue to enjoy great popularity and are highly traded internationally as coveted collector's items. For the first time, the work of Dieter Waeckerlin and Idealheim is comprehensively documented in a publication. This beautifully illustrated book allows for a historical contextualization of Waeckerlin's work and provides an overview of the furniture and design of Idealheim.
