What do the laboratories of CERN, a calming cell in the Burgdorf prison, the farewell room of Dignitas in Zurich, the darkroom of a swinger club, the secret meeting room of the Federal Council, and the research station in the rock labyrinth of the Jungfrau have in common? They are hidden places that are inaccessible to most people. Photographer Kostas Maros, together with art historian Catherine Iselin, has managed to photograph 25 fascinating locations across Switzerland and portray the people who granted them access. The result is over a hundred striking images that provide a unique insight into an often unknown everyday culture, without stripping the hidden places of their magic.
