The first section of the book provides theoretical knowledge on the topic of pain and somatoform disorders, including DSM-V classification, and describes the most important clinical pictures. In the second section, the authors present both conventional and complementary pain therapy, as well as psychotherapeutic options in their diversity, but also in their commonalities. Interdisciplinary and multimodal should not just be buzzwords, but rather represent a concept that, with humanity, expertise, and non-judgmental collaboration among all parties involved, helps patients individually to lead a fulfilling life.
