This volume is dedicated to the scientific analysis of Iron Age finds of women's jewelry and costume accessories from the Alpine region. The wide range of collected data and innovative approaches allow for conclusions regarding the use and significance of this material class. Jewelry and costume are discussed and illustrated in terms of their identity-forming function for individuals and groups, their apotropaic properties, reuse and deposition, as well as their symbolic meaning.
