Product details
Psalms 107 to 150 form the fifth book of the Psalter and address the major theme of 'Word and Fulfillment'. This shows clear parallels to the 5th Book of Moses, which begins with the phrase: 'These are the words' and concludes with the people of God entering the long-desired harbor, despite a long history of sin and failure, through God's grace. Psalm 107 sings of how God's people were brought back to the land after many years of dispersion. Psalm 108 speaks of how the land is to be measured; Psalm 109 addresses the suffering of the righteous. In Psalm 110, we see the suffering servant of God exalted at the right hand of God. The 119th Psalm, which praises the beauty, purity, and power of God's word, is also found in the fifth book of Psalms. The following fifteen Songs of Ascents trace the path of the people returning to ultimately become what they are meant to be.
