Founded in 2015 by Christfried T&ouml gel, the Sigmund Freud Complete Edition (SFG) in 23 volumes is the first collection of writings to include all of Sigmund Freud's works intended for print - including his reviews and contributions to handbooks and encyclopaedias. Freud's writings are made accessible in the form in which they first appeared. All texts are introduced by brief introductions to the biographical and scientific-historical context. An overview at the end of each volume makes it easier to find the texts in the Gesammelte Schriften, the Gesammelte Werke and the Studienausgabe. The seventh volume of the SFG presented here contains Freud's Interpretation of Dreams. Published on 4 November 1899 and predated by the publisher to 1900, it is not only Freud's best-known work, but also one of the most influential books of the 20th century. Freud went through a total of eight editions of his work. The first edition is the content of the present volume.
