The Sigmund Freud Complete Works (SFG), founded in 2015 by Christfried Tögel, is the first collection of writings in 23 volumes that includes all works intended for publication by Sigmund Freud—this includes his reviews and contributions to handbooks and encyclopedias. Freud's writings are presented in the form in which they first appeared. Each text is preceded by a brief introduction providing context on the biographical and historical background. An overview at the end of each volume makes it easier to locate the texts within the collected writings, the complete works, and the study edition. In 1901, Freud published two scientific papers: "On Dreams" and "On the Psychopathology of Everyday Life." He also wrote an autobiographical note for Julius Pagel's Biographical Lexicon of Notable Doctors of the Nineteenth Century. These three publications are reprinted in the present eighth volume.
