Product details

Science and practice are currently engaged in an intensive discussion of new design concepts for enterprises, including the exploration of cooperative work forms. New software tools, known as groupware, are available to support these efforts. However, a purely technical perspective on computer-supported cooperation is insufficient. This holds true regardless of whether a targeted introduction is planned or if cooperation within cooperative units is intended to be a consistent principle of service delivery. Therefore, this work develops a framework for the multidimensional design of computer-supported cooperation and presents design variants using a system of action and restriction parameters related to the elements of task, structure, technology, and personnel.
