With the programs from the open software of the book, it is possible to graphically display the results of curve and surface theory on the screen, a plotter, or any Postscript-compatible output device. Here, the term "open" means that the methods of the software can be freely expanded and thus applied to other general problems. The software is created using object-oriented programming; Turbo Pascal version 5.5 or higher is required. The procedures and methods of the software are always developed in parallel with differential geometric theory. The corresponding source code is listed alongside their descriptions. The last three chapters deal with the numerical methods used to solve various problems, as well as the graphics output techniques and an overview of all units.
