By the beginning of the new millennium at the latest, computer games have established themselves as a socially relevant aesthetic medium. With their increasing recognition as an aesthetic and artistic phenomenon, questions arise regarding their specific characteristics. This book clarifies the concept, aesthetics, and artistic nature of computer games from a philosophical perspective. It is guided by the assumption that the contours of aesthetic media are constantly being renegotiated.
