Einsterns Schwester Themenhefte has a modular structure, consisting of four thematic booklets and one project booklet in a slipcase. The four thematic booklets cover the following areas: language study, correct writing, text planning, and writing and reading. The materials support independent and course-oriented work in small steps, with each page focusing on one learning objective. There are both elective and compulsory pages, along with reflection pages that encourage students to think about their own learning. Tasks are provided at three levels, suitable for grades 2-4.

The learning concept of Einstern's sister - language and reading - emphasizes subject-oriented and largely independent work by children, allowing them to learn at their own pace and through various approaches. Exercises designed to enhance working memory and attention further enrich the concept and serve as important building blocks for lifelong learning.
