What is a rondel? How do you write an elfchen or a haiku? What is meant by a snowball poem, a rap, or a tiered poem? In our workshop, your students will learn about these and other forms of poetry in a straightforward way. Complicated meters and tricky stanza structures are avoided. In the first four stations, word material on the theme of "leisure" is collected, which the students can use as a "word treasure" in their works. Composed poems can be written on decorative sheets after a spelling check. At the end of the workshop, the children choose how they would like to present their poems and receive suggestions for organizing an author reading or a poster presentation.
