The reproductive issues that have long plagued the Andorian people have reached a crisis level. The Federation seems unable to help, and doubts are growing about their commitment to a long-time loyal ally. However, Andorian scientists are once again hopeful for a solution. Meanwhile, many parts of Andorian society are protesting against this controversial approach, and more radical factions are beginning to express their discontent in every possible way. In response, President Nanietta Bacco has sent the crew of the Enterprise along with a team of diplomats and scientists to Andor to demonstrate the Federation's promise.
