Product details

Author: Domenico Gentile

Domenico Gentile has always loved Italian cuisine. As the son of a Calabrian father, he spent his summers in southern Italy as a child. There, he loved watching his Aunt Caterina cook. Since his family runs a farm, he participated in the olive harvest at a young age and helped make tomato sauce. These experiences had a profound impact on him. In 2014, he launched the blog "Cooking Italy." As the largest Italian food blog in Germany, it receives 250,000 visits monthly. He also works as a food scout, serving as a link between various culinary worlds. His first book "Casalinga" was the best-selling Italian cookbook of 2021.

Photographer: Hubertus Schüler

The passionate still-life photographer Hubertus Schüler honed his craft in the perfectionist yet wild realms of advertising. After an assistantship in Düsseldorf, he has been working as a freelance photographer in Bochum since 1990. He approaches his work with heart, soul, and all his talents. His photography studio serves as an atelier, prop room, party loft, professional kitchen, and experimental space. He says he became a photographer because he couldn't paint. What a blessing for photography! Now, instead of using brushes, he paints with precision and light. He also has a great passion for styling, and when he doesn't have anything in front of the lens, he scours flea markets for old treasures that have led interesting lives and have stories to tell, or he paints, scrubs, and inks surfaces. His photographs have received numerous awards.
