Located in the southern part of the Thuringian Forest, the district of Hildburghausen seamlessly connects to the Suhl region and the Thuringian Forest Biosphere Reserve. The forested landscape extends to the meadows of the Heldburger Unterland and meets the regions of Bad Rodach and Coburg here. An extensive network of cycling and hiking trails invites exploration. The new edition of the cycling and hiking map for the district of Hildburghausen complements the Schmalkalden - Meiningen map and the Coburg Land map, depicting the extensive network of cycling and hiking trails at a scale of 1:50,000. A terrain shading visualizes the low mountain range, and a UTM grid allows for the use of a GPS grid.
