In the southwest of Thuringia, the region of Schmalkalden - Meiningen - Suhl stretches from the Rennsteig to the Werra. The historic ridge trail of the Thuringian Forest runs along the northern part of the region, while the Rhön borders the southwest. The Thuringian Forest Biosphere Reserve, with its many highlights, invites exploration.

The new tear- and weather-resistant cycling and hiking map presents the region from Tambach-Dietharz through Oberhof and Suhl to Schmiedefeld, as well as from Trusetal to Meiningen, at a clear scale of 1:35,000. It includes the complete network of cycling and hiking trails, along with excursion destinations and attractions. This makes it ideal for discovering the region on foot or by bike.

An integrated UTM grid allows for orientation in the terrain using a GPS device, and a terrain shading visualizes the low mountain range.
