A classic from EK is being revived in book form! Fifty years ago, Eisenbahn-Kurier first published the issue "Steam-Pulled Passenger Trains of the DB." In those times, without the internet or mobile instant messaging services, it was an invaluable source of information for railway enthusiasts about where and which trains were still operated by steam locomotives. By 1976, a total of 15 issues had been released in this series. To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the series, a new EK book is now in preparation. Renowned EK author Ronald Krug has focused on the winter timetable of 1966/1967 for this project, as the structural change was particularly noticeable during that timetable period: modern diesel and electric vehicles were increasingly taking over and surpassing steam locomotives. Over several decades, the author has collected and meticulously analyzed timetables, schedules, and locomotive driver records. Look forward to the publication!.
