Between 1967 and 1974, Jim Henson and his longtime writing partner Jerry Juhl worked on a screenplay titled "Tale of Sand." However, during the development of the final version, Henson became part of the production team for "Sesame Street" and "The Muppet Show," leaving behind the experimental filmmaking of his youth. Since then, "Tale of Sand" has been archived at the Jim Henson Company. It is the only feature-length screenplay written by Henson that he was unable to film during his lifetime. Archaia Entertainment and dani books are excited to finally bring this forgotten work of Henson's to life, with the permission of the Jim Henson Company and under the leadership of his daughter Lisa – as a graphic novel stunningly illustrated by star artist Ramón K. Pérez.
