This critical edition of "Daniel," which is one of the earliest of the so-called post-classical Arthurian novels, provides the normalized Middle High German text along with an introduction, a selected bibliography, a list of proper names, and a diplomatic reproduction of the opening verses of the primary manuscript. In the third edition, alongside the textual critical apparatus, a second apparatus with linguistic explanations has been added to facilitate access to the text.
