Gratitude as a Lifestyle. In pure, heartfelt gratitude lies an immense power. It nourishes our relationships, clarifies what is important in life, and shows us what we can forgo. However, most people have internalized a mindset that obstructs the natural flow of gratitude. We tend to think that we deserve something and that it is only right and fair to receive what is owed to us. This attitude diminishes our ability to feel gratitude and its productive potential. This book includes a 52-week exercise program designed to strengthen the gratitude muscles. It is based, among other things, on approaches from Nonviolent Communication and Positive Psychology.
