Product details
In 1965, Walter Kasper published this work as his habilitation thesis. In the first part, Kasper diagnoses that the interest of theology in idealistic thought has waned and advocates for a new dialogue between theology and idealism, which is of fundamental importance for understanding the theology of the 20th century. At the center of his attempt to revive idealistic thinking in theology is the theme of Schelling's philosophy of age - the relationship between absoluteness and history. Crucial for the Christological question is Kasper's interpretation of history as Christocentric.
