Product details

Bee venom, medically known as apitoxin, is the venom of honeybees, a mixture of various secretions. It is injected into the opponent through a stinger as an insect bite. A honeybee can release about 0.1 mg of venom. Bee venom is acidic (pH 4.5-5.5) and has a yellowish-opalescent color. Using wire current traps, the venom is also harvested for medical purposes. Recently, apitoxin has gained prominence in the anti-aging industry as a natural alternative to Botox. In this application, apitoxin supports the production of the main protein collagen VII, which promotes the structural function of the skin and thus aims to counteract wrinkle formation. This is a reprint of the original edition from 1880.
