The picture book is a multifaceted multimodal narrative medium that has undergone a profound aesthetic transformation in recent decades. This volume provides a comprehensive foundation for work in teaching courses: the first part introduces the theory and history of the picture book and presents a six-dimensional analysis model. The second part contains fifteen model analyses, each with different focuses, such as aspects of visual and linguistic design in picture books or selected genres and themes.
