My very first children's book - designed to grow with you. Recognizing, perceiving, and naming one's own body is the focus of most early, intense verbal interactions with toddlers. This theme is taken up with great joy, spirit, and expressiveness by Heinz Janisch and Birgit Antoni in this board book. Page by page, different children present the individual parts of the body and their characteristics, each accompanied by animals that refer to their parallel body parts: trunk, compound eyes, or hedgehog spines. This comparison makes it clear: while we are all quite similar because we all have eyes, noses, bellies, etc., at the same time, each person is unique and one of a kind.
