Dr. Torsten W. Müller, born in 1982, studied Catholic theology, German studies, and education at the universities of Erfurt and Bamberg. He earned his doctorate in 2014 with a church history dissertation on displaced persons in Thuringia after 1945. As a research associate at the Research Center for Church History in Erfurt, he focused particularly on the history of the Catholic Church in the GDR. Since 2015, he has been the director of the cultural-historical Eichsfeld Museum and the municipal museums of Heilbad Heiligenstadt. In the past, he has made a significant impact through numerous publications on the cultural and contemporary history of Central Germany.
