The symptom of dizziness is increasingly prominent in medical practice today. The causes are diverse. It is less about classical balance disorders, such as Meniere's disease or the acute failure of a balance organ, that lead to the rising number of dizziness patients, but rather the increasing number of sports and traffic accidents and the rising average age of the population. Older patients often suffer from cerebrovascular dizziness, the effects of systemic diseases such as diabetes mellitus, the side effects of their many medications, or substance abuse. The growing number of postural issues in the cervical spine area, rhythm disturbances, and psychological alterations also impact the number of dizziness patients. Additionally, we have learned that children can have organic balance disorders.
