Pedro longs to see the sea more than anything else. He is greatly surprised when his mother gifts him a trip to an island for his tenth birthday. Surely, there must be pirates there! They say the water has seven colors. Pedro grows a few centimeters taller from sheer happiness. But then this vacation turns out to be completely different from what he had imagined. When Pedro learns why his father didn't come along, he runs away blindly in anger and disappointment. He runs until he no longer knows where he is. In the darkness of the night, he encounters the quirky Johnny Tay. After some initial skepticism, Pedro begins to trust the old sailor, lies down in the hammock with him, and tastes the best food of his life. Are there pirates here or not? Interestingly, the old Johnny shares the same name as that English pirate who lived many hundreds of years ago.
