A cabin on a mountainside in the Alps, surrounded by rock and barren nature. Here, a woman seeks to explore the essence of solitude. She imposes the restrictions of being alone upon herself to experience its freedoms. Systematically, she engages with her surroundings: exploring, measuring, planting, harvesting, training her body and mind, all while defying increasingly extreme weather conditions. Each time the rock masses tremble under the thunder, the end of the world seems to draw a little closer - yet something else approaches her in her exposure. A person? An animal? Whatever the intruder may be, amidst the storm-lashed peaks, exposed to the raw play of the elements, something is brewing on a narrow ridge between madness and insight. The paths of the two hermits will soon cross - for the world calls for a game.
