In the essays of this volume, Axel Honneth continues his reflections on a theory of recognition, deepening classical questions and exploring new fields of research. The primary aim is to make the ideas originally developed by Hegel fruitful for a contemporary conception of justice. It will also be demonstrated that a normative concept of recognition can serve as a bridge to social science topics, as discussed in sociological contemporary diagnoses or psychoanalysis.
