Madrid in the summer of 2012: The effects of the recent economic crisis are starkly evident in the capital. Young Anita belongs to the "lost generation," stripped of any chance for a self-determined existence: out of necessity, she has retreated to her old childhood room. The only support she has, aside from her family, are her friends, who share the fate of long-term unemployment with her. But things can always get worse: one day, Anita finds her parents dead in their shared apartment. Unexpectedly, she slips into her mother's life. As soon as Anita puts on one of her dresses, everyone mistakes her for Blanca. And Blanca's daily life is far more exciting than Anita could have ever imagined. In the end, almost all the threads seem to converge on a mysterious writer rumored to go over corpses. But perhaps that too is an illusion.
