Product details
From black to white. A night ghost in distress. Blessed are those who have friends. Suitable for ages 6 and up. Due to a church tower repair, the clock stops for 12 hours and strikes midnight at noon - time for the little ghost. However, in the sunlight, the white night ghost turns into a black day ghost. One can imagine that this causes quite a bit of confusion.
Author portrait: Otfried Preussler was born on October 20, 1923, in Reichenberg, Bohemia. After the war and five years behind Soviet barbed wire, he moved to Upper Bavaria. He lives with his family near Rosenheim, worked as a primary school teacher until 1970, and has since dedicated himself exclusively to his literary work. He prefers to call himself a storyteller and is regarded today as one of the most prominent and successful authors in Germany. Preussler's children's and youth books have now reached a total circulation of over 40 million copies and are available in around 260 foreign language translations. His plays are among the most performed works in contemporary children's theater.
Excerpt: Herbert, Günther, and Jutta looked around the garden in astonishment. They couldn't explain who had spoken to them. Jutta let out a small scream when she spotted the black figure with white eyes slowly floating out from behind the lilac hedge and waving at them. "Oh, look - the black stranger." "Unfortunately, that's what they call me in Eulenberg," said the little ghost. "And I unfortunately also know that everyone in town is afraid of me. But I'm nothing but an unfortunate little ghost, and I'm terribly sorry that I interrupted the festival yesterday.".
